Make sure your accessories are fully connected and clicked in. Your hair dryer has accessory recognition, so when you attach an accessory, it knows which one is attached and automatically sets the heat and flow to the recommended modes. If the modes are changing during use, this is a sign that the accessory is not fully connected. Make sure each accessory is completely clicked into place and that the IQ light on the back of the hair dryer lights up.
This button is the Cool Shot button. When you hold it down, it turns off the heater and blows room temperature air. This helps close the cuticle and smooth the hair at the end of styling.
The Cool Shot button is intended to "finish" the style. When diffusing curls or when using the AirWave, press and hold the Cool Shot button for 10 seconds before moving on to the next section of hair to help lock in your style and set the shape of your curls or waves. To tame frizz using the concentrator or styling brush accessories, press and hold the Cool Shot button while moving in a downward motion from roots to ends. To shape ends using the concentrator or styling brush accessories, wrap the ends of your hair around a round brush or around the bristles on the styling brush and engage the Cool Shot button for 10 seconds.
To engage Cool Shot, you must press the button and hold it in. The Cool Shot ends when the button is released. When the Cool Shot button is held down, you should feel the air turn from warm to room temperature and the red LEDs will turn off. When you release the button, the temperature will return to the prior setting.
Your hair dryer has accessory recognition, so it knows which accessory is attached and automatically sets the heat and flow to the recommended modes. You can always opt out and change heat and airflow by manually pressing the Air and Temperature buttons on the back of the dryer.
This could be a sign that your hair dryer needs to be cleaned. Use the bristles on the small cleaning brush provided to clean any built-up dust off the screen on the back of the dryer. If you have misplaced the brush, an old toothbrush or a cotton swab will suffice.
This could be a sign that your hair dryer needs to be cleaned. Use the bristles on the small cleaning brush provided to clean any built-up dust off the screen on the back of the dryer. If you have misplaced the brush, an old toothbrush or a cotton swab will suffice. This may also happen if the dryer has been used for a long duration. Set the dryer aside to cool or cool down by holding the Cool Shot button during use.
Press the reset button on the plug. If the dryer still will not turn on, check your circuit breaker. Failure to turn on can also be due to overheating; if your hair dryer powers off during use, allow it to cool for 30 minutes before trying again.

Due to the high air velocity of the hair dryer, some find it helpful to focus the air in more concentrated areas to avoid tangling. Try using the concentrator nozzle to focus the air more, which should help reduce tangling. Try using a lower flow or holding the dryer a little farther away from your hair. Lastly, try using the dryer with a hairbrush or round brush in your other hand as you dry to help focus airflow on the desired section of hair.
The Shark HyperAIR weighs 1.65 pounds (.75 kg). Our dryer is 11 inches long from the top of the dryer body to where the cord begins, 5 inches wide from the back of the dryer body to the front, and 3 inches wide across the body. The cord is 8ft long.
This Shark HyperAIR has been designed for North American homes and is not recommended to be used in other countries as it voids your warranty.
Attach this IQ Styler to the Shark HyperAIR™ Dryer and use on all hair types to dry, straighten, and shine—all at the same time. Smoothing bristles enable grabbing, smoothing, and shining, while detangling bristles enable combing and detangling. Our Styling Brush is rotatable, so you can reach all areas with ease. Best for straight, wavy, curly, and coily hair.
Make sure your brush is fully clicked into place before use. If needed, twist the brush slightly as you push it on until you hear a click.
Your brush has a button on the side to allow you to spin it in any direction. Press the button and twist the brush into a vertical position to easily reach the back of your head.
The Styling Brush has two types of bristles—one is a high-heat capacity nylon; the other is boar. The nylon bristles are larger and help in combing and detangling while drying at the same time. The boar bristles are a natural material that promotes grabbing, smoothing, and shining seamlessly distributing your hair's natural oils.
If you find that you get frizz when using the brush, decrease the air flow. If you still get some frizz, finish at the end of styling by brushing down the outside of the hair and pulling hair through the boar bristles. Finish also with Cool Shot to relax the cuticle.

Attach this IQ Styler to the Shark HyperAIR™ Dryer to dry and style in fewer steps. Our concentrator is rotatable, enabling airflow to always be in line with your round brush. 2-in-1 features Pre-Style and Precision Style modes. Use the wider airpath for a quick, all-over dry before finishing with the narrow airpath for smoothing, shaping, and bending. Best for straight, wavy, curly, and coily hair.
There are 2 different flow modes on the concentrator. Slide the lever left or right to switch between Pre-Style and Precision Style mode. Use the Pre-Style mode when hair is very wet to help remove moisture. Use Precision Style mode when you're looking for a more concentrated air flow to style.
The prongs on your diffuser extend and retract to allow a customized diffusing experience. Slide the lever left or right to extend or retract. Extended prongs are intended for very thick, long, or coarse hair. They help reach the roots if you have a difficult time drying your roots. Retracted prongs are recommended for shorter or finer hair or when you are only looking to dry the ends.
Attach this IQ Styler to the Shark HyperAIR™ Dryer for long-lasting waves with less heat. AirWave creates effortless beachy waves using touchless, hair-healthy HyperAIR Technology that shapes your hair into a gentle wave by drying it in place—no tugging or heat damage. Best for straight and wavy hair.
When you use the AirWave, make sure you are starting with nearly dry hair (about 80–90% dry). A few recommendations to make your style last:
1. We recommend using a light mousse before drying the hair as well as a hold spray once you take the hair out of the AirWave.
2. When you put hair into the tool, tip the AirWave upside down for best results.
3. Before pulling hair out of the tool, hold Cool Shot for about 10 seconds.
4. Before running fingers through the curl, allow the curl to cool completely and finish with a hold spray.
Before you start using the AirWave, make sure that your hair is nearly dry and focus on getting the roots fully dry and smooth.
Depending on hair type, your hair may come out of the tool in a ringlet. Before breaking up the curl, we recommend using a hold spray, and once the hair is fully cooled and sprayed, raking your fingers through the ringlet to break it up into a wave.
There is a twist ring on the accessory that spins left or right; change this position to change the direction of the curl.
