General Questions

What is MultiFLEX technology?

MultiFLEX Technology allows the wand to bend, providing 2 main benefits. The bent wand allows for easy cleaning under furniture and allows the vacuum to fold over for freestanding, compact storage.

How do I use MultiFLEX technology?

Locate the button on the backside of the wand. For easier under furniture cleaning, use the button to bend the wand. Turn the power on and start vacuuming. For storage, turn the vacuum off and then use the button to gently fold the handheld vacuum forward toward the floor nozzle.

NOTE: Not all models are equipped with MultiFlex technology.

How do I attach accessories to the vacuum?

There are two ways to clean with the accessories.

Either separate the handheld portion from the rest of the vacuum by pressing the "Handvac Release" button or keep the wand connected to the handheld and remove the floor nozzle by pressing the "Wand Release" button. Choose the desired cleaning accessory and slide it onto the end of the handheld vacuum or the end of the wand. You will hear a click when it is appropriately attached.

How long does it take to fully charge the battery?

It takes approximately 3 hours to reach a full charge.

The Lights on the side of the battery indicate the charging process.

What is the runtime of the battery on a full charge?

The initial charge on the pack (out of the box) is approximately 30%. We recommend fully charging the battery before initial use.

The battery lasts up to 50 minutes when used in ECO mode.

Like all lithium-ion products, the battery will naturally decrease in capacity over time.

How do I store the vacuum?

Store your vacuum secure area and out of reach of children or pets.  To put the vacuum in storage mode, remove the hand vacuum from the wand and attach it to the clip at the bottom of the wand. The vacuum will then stand alone in this position and allow you to store it away.

What is Floor Detect?

Auto-detects your floor type, adjusting brush roll speed and suction to deep clean your floors.

What are the benefits of Anti Hair-Wrap?

The unique bristle-guard and comb actively separates and removes long, short and pet hair, sucking it straight up into the dust cup and helping to leave the bristle brush-roll tangle-free.

What does the brush roll indicator light mean?
  • Solid Green: The brush-rolls are on and working as they should.
  • Solid Red: There is a jam in the brush-roll area. Turn your vacuum off and remove the blockage.
  • No Light: The brush-rolls are off because the vacuum is off, or the nozzle is not correctly connected to the wand or handheld vacuum.

Using the Vacuum

How do I clean above-floor areas with or without accessories?

To clean above-floor areas, press the wand release button at the top of the wand to detach the handheld vacuum. Attach an accessory to the handheld vacuum for more cleaning options.

For more cleaning reach, leave the handheld vacuum on the wand and detach the wand from the floor nozzle. Press the nozzle release button on the bottom of the wand, then gently pull up on the handheld vacuum to remove the wand. Attach an accessory to the handheld vacuum or the wand and begin cleaning.

How do I turn the vacuum off?

To turn the vacuum off, slide switch to the bottom to turn off power.

Cleaning and Maintenance

How do I clean the filters and how often?

Filters may need to be cleaned if the vacuum stops picking up dirt, if airflow is restricted, or if you notice decreased or no suction. For optimal performance, clean filters regularly. Between cleanings, lightly tap filters over a trash receptacle to remove dust and debris as needed.

Rinse the pre-motor foam and felt filters every month, or as needed.

  • First, remove the dust cup to access the pre-motor filters. Press the release button on the handheld vacuum, then pull the dust cup down and away.
  • Remove the foam and felt filters using the tab provided.
  • Rinse both filters with water only.
  • Allow filters to air-dry completely (at least 24 hours) before reinstalling.
  • Once dry, install the foam filter first, followed by the felt filter.
  • Reinstall the dust cup.

Rinse the post-motor HEPA filter every 12 months, or as needed.

  • Remove the dust cup by pressing the release button on the handheld vacuum, then pulling the dust cup down and away.
  • The post-motor filter is attached to a plastic frame inside the handheld vacuum. Press the tabs and pull the filter off the frame.
  • Rinse the post-motor filter with water only.
  • Allow filter to air-dry completely (at least 24 hours) before reinstalling.
  • Once dry, reinstall the post-motor filter.
  • Reinstall the dust cup.

How do I empty the dust cup and how often?

First, turn the power off.

  • Detach the handheld vacuum from the wand by pressing the wand release button.
  • Position the dust cup over a trash receptacle, then open the bottom dust cup door by sliding the CleanTouch Dirt Ejector slider forward.
  • Tap gently to empty contents.
  • Wipe the interior of the dust cup clean if needed.
  • Close the dust cup door, pressing it until it clicks into place.

For optimal performance, the dust cup should be emptied each time you vacuum and when the dust cup appears full or debris reaches the "MAX FILL" line.

How do I maintain the brushroll?

Brushroll :

  • Turn off the vacuum.
  • Using a coin, turn locks counterclockwise to open, then lift off cover to access the self-cleaning brushroll.
  • Clear airway of blockages.
  • Replace cover by sliding inserts into slots, then pressing down firmly on all sides before turning locks clockwise to close, until they click securely into place.

Soft Roller:

  • To remove Soft Roller from nozzle, pull the Soft Roller out by the tab.
  • Tap loose debris off the Soft Roller. Use a dry towel to wipe the Soft Roller clean, and to remove any debris caught in the teeth behind the Soft Roller.
  • Hand wash the Soft Roller as needed. Use only water, and let air-dry completely for at least 24 hours.
  • Reinsert the Soft Roller.

How do I charge the battery?

Plug the Li-Ion Charger into a wall outlet. Remove the handheld vacuum from the wand by pressing the Wand Release button and pulling up. Plug the charger into the charging port on the handheld vacuum.
